Breed Characteristics

The Chihuahua is a tiny toy breed that weighs between 4 and 6 pounds and stands around 6 to 10 inches when grown. Their coats can be short or long, and they vary in color from black and tan to white mixed with many other colors.

Although Chihuahuas are quite small, they tend to be extremely bossy in nature. They require training when they are young unless you want them to rule the roost. They prefer the love and affection of a single adult and are generally too small for the rough nature of young children.
